NEW officials with Hockey Alberta must register for the Hockey Level 1/2 online course which is the prerequisite prior to taking the in person clinics. 

 

Adult referees are mandated by Hockey Canada to have a backcheck done by Hockey Canada itself and will be included with the course.

Each official has to retake the in person course yearly.
